Worcester Trades Union Council is a body of representatives (called delegates) of local trade unions.

WTUC is the local representative of the Trades Union Congress.

We are part of the Midlands TUC. http://www.tuc.org.uk/tuc/regions_info_midlands.cfm

The Council meets once a month to consider issues that matter to local working people.

  • local disputes between unions and employers
  • effects of privatisation on public services
  • effects of local, county, regional and national planning on local communities

The council leads on campaigns.

  • stop the influence of the nazi British National Party

The Council has representatives on the following organisations;

  • CAB / Worcester Housing and Benefits Advice Centre
  • Worcester Alliance

The Council is affiliated to;

  • Labour Research Department
  • Worcestershire Racial Equality Council
